About

Casey Arbor is a watercolor artist whose paintings celebrate the quiet majesty of the Blue Ridge Mountains she calls home. Her landscapes reflect a reverence for light, atmosphere, and the subtle moments that connect memory and meaning to place.

Arbor holds a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from Lesley University College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina Asheville. Her work has been exhibited in Connecticut, Virginia, Massachusetts, and throughout North Carolina.

In addition to her studio practice, Arbor has been teaching visual art since 2008 and is a nationally recognized educator at Asheville School, a college preparatory boarding school. She brings the lessons of the studio into the classroom, believing that art helps us not only understand the world but imagine how to leave it better for the generations to come.
